Installation instructions

Here’s how to proceed to retrieve specmodels.

For users

This package is available on pypi, thus can be installed through a pip call, or it can be built from source, the old way.

Please note the Python version this package is compatible with. Installation of the appropriate version through [pyenv](https://github.com/pyenv/pyenv).

For contributors

    1. Set up your codeberg account [here](https://codeberg.org/sign_up).

    1. Set up an SSH and GPG for [your account](https://codeberg.org/user/settings/keys).

    1. Install [pyenv](https://github.com/pyenv/pyenv) and the right Python version.

    1. Install [poetry](https://python-poetry.org).

    1. Clone the repo (recommending to use ssh), and move right in the folder.

    1. Run poetry install, prior to activating the virtual environment with pyenv. In linux, it could look like pyenv shell 3.14 && $(poetry env activate).

    1. Install pre-commit and pre-commit hooks

    1. Run pylint and mypy before committing.

    1. Use ‘feat:/fix:/minor:’ flags in your commit messages.

    1. Perform a tenth step.
